    Hello, Good Friend

    lolol

Haha so I saw on my friend Kayla's screen shot on facebook that she posted that one of her tabs open was for Xanga, so I of course came back on here for old times' sake. I've been looking at old friends' blogs and man...this place is a window to the past haha. I love how Jason's last post is pro-bama, but he's quite far from that now. Well aside from the BCS->playoff thing. Although I support that idea as well. =)

Also...I should be studying for my chem test right now. Well I mean it won't change my grade letter-wise, but if I study now I won't have to as much next week.

Aside from school, life right now is good. =) I recently joined the SUM branch here in Austin. These guys are basically the most amazing people I've come to know. So full of life and love for God. I think I've found my place here at UT. =) And I love the UCC. All the people I've come to know through there, the Awakening retreats, and Schoenstatt are all so so so so amazing. I love them all. My school friends are great as well, don't get me wrong, but there's not that deep connection that I have with these guys. Went to see Wolverine with a couple of the guys (and Kristina got dragged in haha) which was a ton of fun and then we went to Bernardo's apartment to hang out. We basically wrecked shop on guitar hero. Then the next night I went with Jason, Brian, and Jason's new girlfriend, Alyse, to Ken's Donut's. Good stuff. Dunno if I can say that they're the best yet, but oh mannn that maple iced donut was sooo soft. Then after that Mark and Alex picked me up to meet up with more UCC'ers at Yogurt PLANET, not Yogurt Spot like Mark had sent out in his text haha. That place was amazing pretty much. Cookies and Cream/Peanut Butter Swirl with coffee jelly, oreos, brownie bites, cookie dough, and butterfingers mixed in. All for $7.23. Yes. I remember the price haha. The later there was a water fight along with Alex busting his head open while trying to climb a wall. And also Paige telling people to "clench your butt cheeks" while trying to do hand stands ahaha.

So year one at UT == amazingness to sum it up. SUM branch retreat friday night. Chem test tonight and programming friday haha. But the retreat will be good. And our lifegroup's retreat will be on Monday. Get to know where we're heading. See "What's a crackin'(kraken)" hahaha. Mary-o Brothers? I think so.

May 19= freedom! As sad as I'll be to leave this place, I'll be glad to get home. See old faces. One especially. ;)

Also I think I've passed my Taylor Swift phase and am now onto The Rocket Summer. So Much Love is great to play on the keyboard. =)

RENT IN TEN DAYSSSSSS!!!!! =D Should be friggin' AMAZING! I mean it's only Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal...ahahaha

AND WICKED IN AUGUST WITH LIZ!!! AHHHHH!!! =D =D =D

I was about to say "back to studying", but that would mean I'd have to have been studying before this. =p

    But really...haha.

PS I forgot how therapeutic and great it felt to post here. Especially now since nobody actually ever reads these any more...

PPS Bryce Avery is my hero. (Rocket Summer guy)

  • Wow...January 14, 2006. It's like a whole other universe.

Well it is February 3, 2008 now. And the Giants just won the Superbowl!

Man...2008. I remember in Intermediate...we'd say "Two-thousand and Eight is the year I graduate!".

It seemed so far off. I mean who actually thought about what lay ahead in 7 years time. I'm sure we all do now, but back then, it was all about what was happening then and there.

Everyone will be going their separate ways in just 6 months' time. 6 months. Seems like a long time right now, but it's going to hit us hard(like the Giants on Brady tonight).

So for Lent this year, I decided to give up Myspace, coffee, energy drinks, and the usual candy/sodas. Maybe I'll actually be able to get things done in school for once. Maybe being the key word.

Um I can't think of anything else to write here. Except maybe that I should be reading Catch-22. I love the book, but I lack the initiative. That seems to be a common problem with me these days...

    Adios for now Xanga

Wow, so I haven't like used this thingy in forever. Last entry: December 14, 2005. That's a month ago. Well I just felt like writing in this thing. Lets see, what did I miss?

Christmas break I was pretty lazy. My aunt from the Philippines and my uncle and cousins from New Jersey came over and visited. Lots of going out. Lots of food. Lots of Filipinos. Dunno whether or not that's a good or bad thing though. Oh, and I did my chemistry project pretty much the last 2 days of the break. Procrastination ++

On the weekend of the 6th-8th, I went to Austin for DCYC which is the Diocesan Catholic Youth Conference. We stayed at a freakin' nice hotel. I mean nice. Its developed, I just need to find it so I can put it up. It was nice. Music was awesome. Doug led all of it, so that was cool. They had an electric guitarist with the group. He was pretty good. He had a nice Gibson Flying V. \m/ Nice tone. I liked it. We had a speaker named Brian Johnson. He was hilarious. A few workshops. One guy had this really cute kid who thought he was Spiderman. Really cool. We ate at a Cheesecake Factory. Oh...My...Goodness...It was my first time there, and holy cow, there was so much crap on the menu. And the cakes were like $6-7 a slice! Good thing we got $10 each. Made things a bit cheaper. I got the Blackout cake and it was freakin' awesome. So rich and chocolatey. Mmmmm. It was really fun though. Good experience. I'm gonna see if I can go next year.

Then last week we had finals. I only had to take chemistry, so I'm happy. It was pretty easy since I have Mrs. Easley. School is pretty much back to normal. Afterschool tennis started up again, so I dunno what to do about UIL practice now.

Oh, and on the 22nd, I'm getting confirmed! w00t w00t! there's like a weekend retreat on Fri. and Sat. Gonna be fun.

Oh, and last night we went to Best Buy and picked up Counter Strike and the Stewie movie with our gift certificates. We ate at Ryan's. Got stuffed. Food=Good.

    Well that is my update.
